No est&aacute; claro cu&aacute;les son las c&eacute;lulas diana directas del ZIKV en el feto humano en desarrollo. En este estudio se muestra que una cepa de ZIKV, la MR766, analizada serialmente en c&eacute;lulas de mono y de mosquito, infecta eficientemente a c&eacute;lulas neuronales progenitoras humanas (NPC) derivadas de c&eacute;lulas madre pluripotentes inducidas. Las NPC infectadas liberan part&iacute;culas infecciosas de ZIKV. La infecci&oacute;n por ZIKV incrementa la muerte celular y desregula la progresi&oacute;n del ciclo celular, con lo que se reduce el crecimiento de las NPC.<\/p>\n<p class=\"rtejustify\">El an&aacute;lisis global de la expresi&oacute;n gen&eacute;tica de las NPC infectadas muestra desregulaci&oacute;n transcripcional, sobre todo de las v&iacute;as relacionadas con el ciclo celular. Nuestros resultados identifican a las NPC como dianas directas del ZIKV.
