Investigadores cubanos del Centro de ingeniería genética y biotecnología<\/a> y de los hospitales Centro de investigaciones médico quirúrgicas (Cimeq)<\/a>, Celestino Hernández Robau y José Ramón López Tabranes presentan los resultados del siguiente ensayo clínico fase 1.<\/p>\n

Esta investigación conocida como CENTAURO 1 y 2 evaluó la seguridad de una novedosa vacuna cubana con una molécula variante del factor de crecimiento del endotelio vascular (VEGF) humano como antígeno en combinación con VSSP o fosfato de aluminio.<\/p>\n

La vacuna se aplicó a pacientes con tumores sólidos avanzados donde mostró un excelente perfil de seguridad. Este resultado podría contribuir al promisorio campo de la inmunoterapia activa específica en la Oncología.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
